A MESSAGE FROM MCGARVEY BLACK

Hi, I’m McGarvey Black and live in Connecticut where many of my books take place. The bucolic northeastern setting — woods, streams, stone walls, abundance of wildlife juxtaposed with pockets of wealthy enclaves make Connecticut the perfect place for murder and other bad behaviour.

I am a mother of two grown children and live in Connecticut with my husband and very clingy but much loved mini-golden doodle, Riley.

My newest thriller, The Man in the Photo is about to be released. This is my thirteenth published novel and one of my favorites. At its core, it’s about friendship. I’ve always treasured my friends, especially my girlfriends, and hopefully that comes across in the book.

As for what I’m reading, I read loads of thrillers and mysteries, but I also enjoy literary fiction. I’ve just started Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver which is a modern-day David Copperfield to some extent. So far I’m loving it.

I hope you enjoy the characters Margot and Shannon as much as I did. Their unconditional friendship and adventures in Australia will take you on an exciting and satisfying journey. They are truly ride or die friends. We all need those.

Now that the book is finished, I miss being with them every day.
