HELLO FROM LINDA MATHER

I'm Linda Mather, author of two crime series, both published by the wonderful Joffe Books. I live in Worcestershire, well-positioned between the Cotswolds and the more urban, English Midlands, which provided the perfect backdrop for my first series, the Zodiac Murder Mysteries.

Setting is often the inspiration for my books and when I lived close to the New Forest, I used to plan all sorts of intriguing mysteries every day while driving the twisty route through the ever-changing, atmospheric forest on my way to work. And now I'm incredibly proud to tell you that Fear in the New Forest, the second book in the New Forest Murders series is released this week. Death in the New Forest, the first in the series, was published in May and I'm over the moon to see the stories I plotted while driving now in the hands of readers, who also seem to love them.

So, what do I love to read? Lately, I've been dipping into the British Library crime classics and appreciating 'golden age' writers like John Dickson Carr and ECR Lorac. I also love historical crime and recently really enjoyed Anna Mazzola's The Book of Secrets.
