A Q&A WITH D.L. FISHER

1. Briefly introduce yourself.

I’ m D.L. Fisher, bestselling author of domestic thrillers. I live in North Carolina with my husband, five children, and an adorably naughty beagle. When not plotting my next big twist, I enjoy diving into thrillers and immersing myself in true-crime podcasts. And when I’m not doing any of that, you’ll probably find me at a travel baseball, softball, (insert sport here) game.

2. What first sparked the idea for Five Liars?

I was at a baseball game a few years back, and a mom mentioned the white lie party she was attending later that day. I had never heard of a white lie party and was completely intrigued. From there, Five Liars was born.

3. How would you describe Five Liars in one sentence?

Five Liars is a page-turning thriller that explores how far people will go to keep their secrets and to get revenge.

4. Without giving away any spoilers, what part of the book was most enjoyable to write?

No spoilers, but I found the “Then” chapters especially fun to write.

5. What book have you loved reading recently?

My most recent five-star read was Love, Mom.
