“I’ve been writing all my adult life (and a lot of my childhood!) and have loved every minute spent with paper and pencil, then manual typewriter and now Windows 10. Creating characters and stories is all I want to do. Happiness is a keyboard and some free hours. Medieval fiction is my genre at the moment, and is what I started out with, but in between, like the rather plump filling of a sandwich, is forty years of writing Regency fiction. I have a very long backlist about Prinny’s period!
Being born in Wales to a Welsh mother and English father, I’m well suited to living on the edge of the Welsh Marches, between the Cotswolds, the Severn and the Forest of Dean. My husband died in 2015 after fifty years of being together. I have one daughter and two grandchildren, and live on my own. Except that if you write fiction, you’re never alone, because your characters are always at your side, in charge of everything!”
