ROY CHESTER (1936 - 2018)
Roy Chester was the Proudman Professor of Oceanography in the department of Earth & Ocean Sciences at the University of Liverpool until his retirement in 2001. He is the author of over 125 papers in the mainstream scientific literature and he’s written a number of textbooks. Roy also served as a lay member of the Mental Health Tribunal for over 25 years. Since retirement, his writing focused on crime thrillers.
