Annie Dalton

ANNIE DALTON

Annie Dalton wrote her first novel at the kitchen table while her three children were at school. She is now the author of more than thirty books for children, including her internationally bestselling Agent Angel series, and has twice been shortlisted for the Carnegie medal. Annie once worked as a writer in residence in one of HM's prisons where she helped inmates to devise, write and perform a musical based on their own lives. She lives in Norfolk with her dog Riley in a cottage with a ruined castle at the bottom of her garden. Since Annie and her daughter Maria both love murder mysteries, they decided to write one together set in Oxford, their favourite city, about three women who discover a dead body while they're out dog walking.

MARIA DALTON

True to her Romany heritage, Maria Dalton has lived all over the UK but has settled, for now, in Norfolk. Her love of stories and interest in true crime has led her to study film making in New York and undertake a BSc in psychology. Maria has co-written four books with Annie and their young adult novel, Invisible Threads, was shortlisted for the Nottingham Children's Book Award. Maria has worked in fashion as a visual artist and a chimney sweep’s assistant. She attended The Cherwell School in Oxford, which ignited a lifelong love of the city.
