Jeanne was born and raised in South Bend, Indiana. She’s read English mysteries since she was a teenager and they bred in her a love of England that led to her first mystery series. Enter Dorothy Martin, who is essentially Jeanne’s alter-ago. The first book in the series, The Body in the Transept, won the Agatha award for Best First Novel of 1995, and Dorothy has gone on to many more adventures since.
